The beauty of starting small

The Beauty of Starting Small 🌱 When we think of awakening or growth, it’s tempting to imagine big, dramatic changes—major life shifts, bold decisions, or grand spiritual breakthroughs. But Scripture reminds us that often, God works through the small, steady beginnings. “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) God’s Joy in the Little Things The Lord doesn’t wait until we’ve “arrived” to delight in us. He rejoices in each small step—every whispered prayer, every kind word, every decision to turn our hearts toward Him. Just as a gardener celebrates the first sprout pushing through the soil, God celebrates the little awakenings in our lives. Awakening Is a Process Awakening doesn’t happen overnight. It unfolds slowly, like buds opening on a tree. Some days we notice growth; other days it seems hidden. But underneath, God is always at work. Think of the mustard seed in Matthew 13:31–32. It starts as the smallest ...

Awakening April. : The Beauty of everyday joy

The Beauty of Everyday Joy 🌼 Joy doesn’t always come in fireworks and celebrations. More often, it hides in the simple, everyday places—like sunlight through the window, a shared laugh, or the quiet relief of God’s presence after a long day. *“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”* — Psalm 118:24 ---  Joy in the Ordinary When we awaken to God’s presence, we begin to notice joy in the seemingly small things. Ordinary moments become extraordinary when we see them through the lens of gratitude. Jesus Himself often pointed to simple things—birds in the sky, lilies in the field, bread on the table—as signs of God’s care. If He found God’s love in everyday life, so can we.  Joy as a Choice Joy isn’t always a feeling; sometimes it’s a decision. Even in seasons of heaviness, we can choose to look for glimpses of light. This doesn’t mean ignoring pain—it means believing that God’s goodness still breaks through, even in small ways. Reflection ...

Spring cleaning for the soul

Spring Cleaning for the Soul 🌸 April arrives with the soft promise of new beginnings. The air feels lighter, flowers push their way through the soil, and the world itself seems to whisper: it’s time to awaken. Many of us use this season for a physical spring clean—clearing out closets, dusting shelves, and opening the windows wide. But what if we also treated April as a chance for spring cleaning of the soul ? Why Our Souls Need Spring Cleaning Just like our homes, our inner lives collect clutter. Worries pile up like old papers. Habits we’ve outgrown sit like unused boxes in the corner. Resentments gather dust. Over time, this clutter weighs us down. Ecclesiastes 3:6 reminds us: “a time to keep and a time to throw away.” Awakening April invites us to discern what’s worth keeping in our spirits—and what needs to be released. Steps to Clear the Spiritual Clutter 1. Open the Windows of Prayer Begin by letting in fresh air. Prayer, silence, or meditation opens space in the hea...

The Dangers of Chinese Freemasonry

The Dangers of Chinese Freemasonry: A Christian Perspective Freemasonry has long been a topic of concern among Christians due to its secretive nature, esoteric teachings, and incompatibility with biblical Christianity. While much has been written about Western Freemasonry, less attention has been given to Chinese Freemasonry, which operates under different structures but retains similar spiritual dangers. From a Christian perspective, involvement in Chinese Freemasonry can lead to spiritual deception, idolatry, and a departure from true faith in Christ. The Origins and Influence of Chinese Freemasonry Chinese Freemasonry, often associated with secret societies such as the Triads, emerged in the 17th century as a brotherhood with political and social aims. While some branches claim to promote benevolence and fraternity, many have historically been involved in criminal activities, oath-bound secrecy, and rituals that are deeply rooted in Chinese folk religion, Taoism, and Buddhism. These...

Why Change Fails Without God

Change is one of the few constants in life. Whether it's personal growth, career transitions, relationships, or broader societal shifts, the need to adapt and transform is ever-present. However, despite the best intentions, many efforts at change fail. Plans unravel, resolutions fade, and goals remain unmet. For Christians, the answer to why change so often fails lies in one profound truth: lasting change cannot succeed without God. 1. Human Effort Alone is Insufficient Human beings are limited in wisdom, strength, and willpower. While motivation and planning are important components of change, relying solely on our own resources is like building a house on sand (Matthew 7:26-27). Without a solid foundation in God, change lacks the stability to endure the inevitable storms of life. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Wh...

The Mistake of Manafesting

Manifesting: A Misguided Practice for Christians When we are looking at clarity in our change management method it can be really tempting to use manafesting to get clear on what you want. This is dangerous and Ill adviced here's why.  In recent years, the practice of "manifesting" has gained popularity in self-help circles and on social media. Manifesting, as commonly understood, involves visualizing one’s desires and believing that positive thoughts or energies can bring these desires into reality. While this may sound appealing, it raises significant concerns for Christians. Far from being harmless, manifesting is a practice that can subtly lead believers away from God’s truth and purpose. The Roots of Manifesting The concept of manifesting is often rooted in New Age philosophy, which borrows ideas from Eastern mysticism, the law of attraction, and various occult practices. These belief systems typically center on the idea that humans possess the power to shape their re...
