5 Mindful Practices for Busy Days 🌼
Life often moves so quickly that we forget to pause, breathe, and notice the presence of God in the middle of it all. Mindful May invites us to slow down—not by emptying our minds, but by filling them with awareness of God’s nearness.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10
Why Mindfulness Matters for Faith
Mindfulness isn’t just a trend—it’s a practice of paying attention, something Scripture has encouraged all along. By becoming more aware of our thoughts, surroundings, and feelings, we create space to notice God’s gentle voice in the noise of daily life.
Five Simple Practices
-
Morning Pause
Before you pick up your phone, take 3 slow breaths and whisper a short prayer of thanks. -
Scripture Breath
Pick a verse (like Psalm 23:1) and repeat it slowly with each breath. Let the words settle into your heart. -
Gratitude Glance
Choose one ordinary thing around you—a cup of tea, a flower, a child’s laughter—and thank God for it. -
Slow Listening
When someone speaks, listen fully without planning your reply. See it as a gift of presence. -
Evening Reflection
Before bed, ask: Where did I notice God today? Write down one small moment.
